Contexte

Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.
Comprising, Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens and Webuild, the private sector partners are looking to build their metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership model and will provide a major economic stimulus for western Sydney.
RATP Dev as the O&M Contractor will be responsible for the successful delivery of the operations and maintenance elements of the project and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Head of Commercial/Contract Management to work within the O&M Contractor team
Missions
Governance:
• Part of the Project Leadership Team in ensuring compliance across Commercial, Divisional and Group governance
• Assist the APAC Leadership Team in the development and implementation of project/divisional commercial policy, process and systems as required
• Manage project in accordance with governance framework & budget
Contract Management:
• Lead the implementation and deployment of a project contract management framework
• Lead project level advice on commercial matters, contract negotiations, contract risk allocation and cost benchmarking
• Ensure all project staff understand and comply with commercial requirements in contracts with customers and major/high risk subcontracts
• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of all contract variation and claims positions including identification and quantification of O&M Contract scope changes and all subsequent negotiations with the Client.
• Lead negotiation on contract terms and conditions with customers/subcontractors as applicable.
• Ensure project reporting facilitates the effective management of risks and successful project delivery
People and Culture:
• Assist in the recruiting, retention, training, management and motivation of staff with the appropriate skills, as required
• As Head of Commercial and Contract Management, provide leadership and management of the other commercial resources to manage project risks.
• Mentor and coach staff within the project.
• Educate and train other members of the Project.
Other responsibilities:
• Assist the APAC team with activities that will assist the organisation deliver its objectives.
Responsabilités et activités
The primary purpose of the role is to lead the commercial and contract management of the O&M contractor in a Public Private Partnerships. This will include developing and delivering on commercial strategies, financial and commercial management of the project, development and implementation of the commercial framework and procedures and monitoring performance against key performance indicators.
Expériences et compétences requises
• A minimum of 15 years' experience in commercial and contract administration gained major infrastructure projects. An understanding of Public Private Partnerships is favourable.
• Demonstrated experience leading commercial teams and having ownership over commercial outcomes on complex infrastructure projects.
• Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management
• Strong leadership and people management experience
• Proven communication and stakeholder management skills and will be accustomed to developing trusted and productive internal and external business relationships.
