Missions
RATPDEV USA wishes develop expertise in the discipline of fixed route scheduling. The phases of the scheduling lifecycle include routes and frequency, blocking, run cutting, bidding, schedule finalization, and analyzing performance against plan.
Under the lead of the SVP of Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement, the Project Manager Assistant will develop company process standards for scheduling, partner with locations across the company to lead and facilitate implementation, collect feedback and analyze performance data, and capitalize on opportunites to continuously improve. These data include but are not limited to on time performance, scheduled hours vs. actual hours, and vehicle availability. The Project Manager Assistant will become proficient in using scheduling software applications such as Optibus, Trapeze, Hastus as well as data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, SmartSheet, Monday.com and comparable systems to manage the project, track progress, and measure effectiveness.
Responsabilités et activités
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, especially for getting up to speed with understanding the fixed route scheduling life cycle.
- Develop project standards that enable consistent application of actions associated with fixed route scheduling consistently across the RATPDEV USA.
- Engage with operations field leadership and supporting personnel to assess and understand the current state of fixed route scheduling across the company.
- Facilitate application of the process at locations across the company, which vary in size and complexity using applicable schedule software applications.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of schedule performance and act on identified opportunities for improvement in terms of reducing cost and improving service delivery.
Expériences et compétences requises
- Engineering school or university equivalent
- Background in civil engineering or electrical engineering
- A good command of professional English is essential, ideally with initial experience abroad
- Knowledge in coding especially SQL or Python
- Good knowledge of office and computer tools
- You are a driving force within a team and are able to make proposals
- You are autonomous and resourceful
- You want to take part in a project that is under construction.
