RATP Dev, a subsidiary of the RATP Group, ensures the operation and maintenance of urban and interurban transport networks in 12 countries through over 110 subsidiaries. RATP Dev is in advanced discussion with the Cairo transportation authorities to take over line 3 and its future extensions.

Currently line 3 has 9 stations spread over 15 km. The line opened in 2012 with Kinki Sharyo trains and will eventually welcome a total of 34 stations spread over 41 km with additional Rotem trains.

In Cairo, we are setting up the team to operate and maintain the existing metro system with a two-year improvement plan within an overall 15 year contract.

About the job

Reporting to the General Manager, the Contract Manager will develop and control the life-cycle of the contract but also minimize any financial or legal risks.

Requirements

- Implement the governance process of the project (billing, communication, reporting);
- Analyze the offer and the coherence of the contractual terms, identify the contractual /financial/operational risks, and suggest measures to cover the risks;
- Advise the project team regarding the choice and the administrative proceedings to be applied. Guaranty the compliance with the norms and procedures of RATP Dev (mother company) ;
- Assess the opportunities in order to improve the performance of the contract and be a driving force for proposals ;
- Analyze the claims, guarantee all is in order regarding the insurances and public authorities ;
- Ensure the reporting and the management cycle (budget/strategic plan) of the subsidiary together with both the Business Unit Director and the CFO;
- Ensure the follow-up of both the accounting and management controlling operations with the support of an accounting firm and a legal advisor ;
- Control the tax and legal obligations;
- Define and implement the administrative and financial procedures locally;
- Implement the required Information System.

- High fluency in English and Arabic is a MUST (written and spoken);
- At least 10 years' experience in contractual drafting and follow-up of contracts in a local and international environment;
- Guarantee the financial side of the contract and be in connection with the head office in Paris;
- Capacity for analysis and synthesis;
- Be highly adaptable, autonomous and proactive;
- Team spirit;
- Able to work with autonomy and initiative;
- Strong interpersonal aptitudes and team management ability.
