Contexte

RATP Dev, a subsidiary of the RATP Group, ensures the operation and maintenance of urban and interurban transport networks in 12 countries through over 110 subsidiaries. With over 18,000 employees and the expertise and backing of a global leader in public transportation, our subsidiaries provide performance, dynamism and reliability to our customers and passengers to their networks.
RATP Dev is in advanced discussion with the Cairo transportation authorities to take over line 3 and its future extensions.
Currently line 3 has 9 stations spread over 15 km and will eventually welcome a total of 34 stations spread over 41 km. There are more than 600 employees today and the amount will grow with the extensions.

In Cairo, we are setting up the team to operate and maintain the existing metro system with a two-year improvement plan within an overall 15 year contract.

Missions

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with all the directors, the HR Director is fully responsible of the Talent Development (Recruitment plans, Trainings etc.) and Labor law issues. The Director is a member of the Executive Committee.

Responsabilités et activités

- Set up policies, plans and processes for his department (12 people today);
- Monitors, updates and assures ethical application of HR policies;
- Recruits, manages and develops an HR team that is service-driven, results-focused and operationally aligned;
- Provides internal support and guidance to line management regarding HR issues;
- Liaises with service providers (lawyers, payroll provider, recruitment agencies, etc.) and government officials.

Expériences et compétences requises

- Minimum 15 years' experience in developing and implementing human resource strategy, policies and programs with knowledge of Egypt;
- Solid knowledge of local HR practices, legal requirements and labor regulations;
- Fluency in Arabic and English is a must ;
- Effective verbal and written communicator;
- Able to both lead and take a hands-on approach;
- Able to see things from a “big picture” perspective;
- Leadership style includes an on-the-ground presence and understanding of employee roles and work conditions;
- Manages teams effectively.
