Contexte

RATP Dev, a subsidiary of the RATP Group, ensures the operation and maintenance of urban and interurban transport networks in 12 countries through over 110 subsidiaries. For one of its subsidiaries, RATP Dev is looking for an Operations Director in London.

Missions

Reporting to the Managing Director of the subsidiary, the Operations Director is responsible for the operation of the network and maintenance of the fleet in the short, medium and long term. She / He is responsible for the safety, operating performance and maintenance of infrastructure and rolling stock. The Operations Director is a member of the Executive Committee of the subsidiary.

Responsabilités et activités

- Define the transport offer and operating policy in accordance with the commercial objectives.
- Monitor and analyze the results of the activity using key performance indicators, focusing on operational efficiency and customer experience in equal measure.
- Decide, if necessary, whether any corrective measures and improvements are needed;
- Ensure compliance with regulations (eg. adaptation of instructions and operating procedures).
- Define and manage the engineering and maintenance plan, supervising preventative, corrective and curative maintenance.
- Define and manage the Health & Safety Plan.
- Enhance the relationship with the subsidiary's partners and suppliers as well as with London transport authorities, local Councils and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and control the regulatory compliance of vehicle use (technical control, insurance, license, rest period).
- Management of the Team (+/- 100 employees)
- Communicate, negotiate and enhance the relationship with all relevant Unions.
- Build, monitor, optimize and ensure adherence to the operating and maintenance budget.

Expériences et compétences requises

- 15 years' experience in Bus operations, including 10 years in an executive position;
- Extensive experience of working with local transport authorities and relevant Unions;
- Fluency in English;
- Demonstrates high standards of leadership and integrity in technical and commercial matters;
- Proven and successful experience in resources management;
- Proven ability in situational analysis and problem solving;
- Able to work with autonomy and initiative;
- Strong interpersonal aptitudes and team management ability.

Particularités du poste

-  The position is based in London.
- Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management – preferred.
