About the job

Responsible to the Head of Operations for all operational activity at PTC's East Depot including the management and deployment of up 2,000 + operational personnel, the operational delivery of bus services, the management of the depot administration and liason with all internal and external stakeholders impacting upon the depot's activity.


Responsible for all day to day operational and administrative activity
Responsible for all depot service operating procedures
Responsible for all depot control and administration activity, including work allocation and payroll input
To maintain consistently high levels of staff motivation and engagement
To contribute to the creation of appropriate training and career development programmes for all Depot operational employees
To proactively contribute to increasing the level of native Saudi employees in all roles
To oversee the implementation of all health, safety and environmental policies in respect of operational activities
To produce an annual budget for all Depot operational activities
To deliver high quality, safe and reliable operational standards in line with that budget
To ensure that all operational activity meets the necessary legal and contractual requirements
To liase constructively and proactively with the Depot Fleet Engineer to ensure the delivery of high quality, reliable bus services
To consistently and actively seek to improve standards of quality, performance and efficiency across all operational aspects of the depot
To contribute, as a member of the PTC Executive Management Team, to the overall profitability, performance and development of PTC

Other requirements for the role

Educated to degree level or equivalent
At least 5 years experience of managing a substantial operational bus depot of 150 + vehicles
At least 2 years experience of responsibility for an operational staff of 1,000 +, not necessarily in a single depot
Held responsibility for industrial relations
Held responsibility for recruitment, training and development of operations staff
Held responsibility for Health and Safety within an operational environment
Held responsibility for stakeholder engagement
Has experience of budgeting and financial control
Good English Language and Communication Skills
