The Original London Sightseeing Tour Limited is one of the city's largest operator of open-top bus sightseeing tours. Operating up to 70 vehicles daily in the peak season, 365 days per year, The Original Tour employs up to 385 staff in the summer months. RATP Dev and The Original Tour teams are proud to have over 65 years' experience introducing around 1 million visitors to London annually, having initially been introduced by London Transport for the Festival of Britain in 1951 as “Service J”. As the first open-top hop on hop off tour anywhere in the world, they rebranded as “The Original Tour”.

About the job

We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, dynamic and highly skilled customer-orientated SALES REPRESENTATIVES to join our On-Street Sales force. You will be pivotal in driving sales to increase revenue throughout the season.

This is a varied, fun role in which you will meet people from all over the world and help them to get the most from their visit using our range of tours and experiences. Ideal for candidates with sales, retail & customer services experience.

Requirements

As an ambassador for The Original Tour and London, you will be proactive in pursuing the sale of tickets for our variety of sightseeing tours covering the main tourist attractions in the London metropolis.

You must provide a consistently high level of service to our customers, including promoting our products and providing local advice.

We are looking for people with passion and flair for excellent customer care, have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to gain a rapid understanding of the company's products and procedures.

A high standard of presentation, time-keeping and ability to work within a team is necessary such as you will represent the company.
A passion for sales and result oriented nature are valued skills.

Fluency in English is necessary. Knowledge of other languages is desirable.

Other requirements for the role

Seasonal Short term contract between March and November with potential for permanent career opportunities after successful first season – duration of the contract can be flexible.

Average of 9 hours per day, any 5 days in a week, Saturday to Friday, as indicated on a rota. Weekend working is essential and you must be available for our peak service throughout July and August.

Ability to work outdoors, in a Tourist Environment in Central London.

Pay Rates: Established Basic Rate £10.96 per hour (you will be paid a competitive rate during your training) Commission can also be earned with a potential to exceed an additional £20 plus per day (depending on personal sales) more in the spring and summer season.

Travel ticket paid to come to the UK paid and the company may assist you to relocate.
